Specifications
Configure Camera & Lens Manually
1) Switch your camera to manual mode;
2) Adjust the lens to your preferred aperture/focal length;
3) Turn the front focus ring to focus on the subject and capture a test shot.
If the photo appears dark, follow these steps:
a. Decrease the shutter speed, from 1/500s to 1/100s or slower like 1/50;
b. Raise the ISO setting, from ISO 100 to ISO 200/400/800, etc.
c. Utilize a remote shutter release and a tripod for improved image stability.
To ensure precise focusing, it is advisable to use live-view. When using long telephoto lenses, it is recommended to use a stable camera support, a sturdy tripod, proper technique, a fast shutter speed, a remote control, and mirror lock-up to prevent camera shake and achieve optimal results.
Utilize a stable tripod to prevent camera movement. Adjust your camera settings to Manual Mode (M). Opt for a narrow aperture (high f-number) such as f/8 to f/16. Maintain a low ISO setting, approximately ISO 100 or 200. Turn the front focus ring to focus on the intricate details of the moon. Employ a remote shutter release or set a brief self-timer delay to minimize camera shake. If desired, take multiple exposures to capture varying levels of brightness. Contemplate capturing images in RAW format for increased post-processing versatility.
