If the image turns out dark, perform the following steps,
a. Reduce the shutter speed, from 1/500s down to 1/100s or slower 1/50 etc;
b. Increase the ISO value, from ISO 100 to ISO 200/400/800 etc.
c. Use a remote shutter release and a tripod to increase image stability;
d. Change your position to allow more ambient light to pass through the lens into the camera's image sensor;

Use a sturdy tripod to eliminate camera shake.
Set your camera to Manual Mode (M).
Choose a small aperture (high f-number) like f/8 to f/16.
Keep the ISO low, around ISO 100 or 200.
Rotate the front focus ring and focus on the moon's details.
Use a remote shutter release or a short self-timer delay to reduce camera shake.
Optionally, bracket exposures to capture different levels of exposure.
Consider shooting in RAW format for more post-processing flexibility.

FAQ

Q: Why does my picture seem to be blurry, out of focus?

A: Fine tune the front focusing ring to make your target in focus.

Q: Why can't I press the camera shutter after installation?

A: This is a full manual focus lens, no electric contacts, your camera will not detect the lens when mounted, switch camera to M mode and then you can press the shutter and take photo.
